How to keep my feet warm?

I have a problem with my feet that never thaw out during very cold winter days. I cannot wear thick socks with my shoes as they won’t fit me. I cannot get a larger pair of shoes to accomodate as my feet are a US woman 11 and in the UK, they don’t do larger shoes for women.

When I am at home, I wear a normal pair of socks, either a pair of sports socks or slipper socks then a pair of walking socks. They are still cold.

What do I need to do?

What you are doing is insulating your feet. that doesn’t do anything if they are already cold to begin with. Try this at your home, get them under hot water, till they are nice and warm. Wipe them thoroughly, you don’t want any moisture. Then put your socks on. Use slippers at home over the socks, so you don’t loose any heat through the soles of your feet. As for outside shoes, if you can’t find bigger shoes, then all you can do is put your shoes over a heater before putting them on. It will help for a while, but not long. Don’t use socks that will cut your blood flow, because that will make them go cold faster.
