Why do people hate gladiator sandals?

I was just reading some past question, and it was about fashion disasters, and LOADS of people said gladiator sandals, but I don’t think that they are a bad thing, do you? And why do people think they are so terrible?

How can people hate them! They are adorable <3

If i'm honest i think people only dislike them because they dislike feet and toes. They are probably jealous of people who can wear them!
